Connecting Shortcut to Bitbucket Cloud enhances your workflow by linking Stories to commits, branches, and pull requests. This integration keeps your development progress aligned with your project management, enabling automatic Story updates as code moves through your version control system.
How it Works
The Shortcut Bitbucket integration connects to Bitbucket Cloud (not Bitbucket Server). To set it up, navigate to the Integrations menu in Shortcut, select Bitbucket, and follow the prompts to authorize your Bitbucket Cloud account. Once connected, you'll be able to associate development activity with Shortcut Stories, keeping your team aligned and work visible across both platforms.
Configure
Only Admins and Owners can activate the Bitbucket integration in Shortcut. To set it up, go to the Integrations menu in Shortcut, select Bitbucket, and click Connect to Bitbucket Cloud to authorize your account. You can link multiple Shortcut Workspaces to one Bitbucket account, but not multiple Bitbucket accounts to the same Workspace. Once connected, the linked Bitbucket account will be displayed in the integrations screen.
